Shopee sale calendar: when to buy
Shopee runs some kind of sale almost every week, but a few days a year are much bigger than the rest. If you can wait, buying on those days with the right vouchers often saves a noticeable amount, especially on electronics, appliances and household goods. This page explains when the sales happen and how to get the most out of them.
Double-day mega sales
The biggest sales fall on "double days", when the day and month numbers match: 1.1, 2.2, 3.3 and so on up to 12.12. Every one of them has a sale, but they are not equal. The biggest are usually 9.9, 10.10, 11.11 and 12.12, at the end of the year. 11.11 is often the largest of all.
Mid-month and payday sales
Between the double days there are usually two smaller campaigns each month:
- Mid-month sale around the 15th (sale giữa tháng).
- Payday sale around the 25th, when many people get paid (sale ngày lương).
The exact names and dates change from month to month, so check the banners on the Shopee home page.

Flash sales
Flash Sale deals run at set time slots through the day. Each slot has a limited number of items at a low price, and popular ones sell out in minutes. The schedule is shown in the Flash Sale section of the app. On big sale days there are extra slots, and the best ones are often at midnight.
How vouchers work
Vouchers (mã giảm giá, voucher) are where most of the real savings come from. There are three main kinds:
- Shop vouchers (voucher của shop): from a single seller, shown on the product or shop page.
- Shopee vouchers: from Shopee itself, valid in many shops, usually with a minimum order amount.
- Free-shipping vouchers (miễn phí vận chuyển, often just "freeship"): very useful for small orders.
You usually have to save (lưu) a voucher before you can use it. On big sale days many vouchers are released at 0:00 and run out quickly, so collect them as early as you can. One shop voucher, one Shopee voucher and one shipping voucher can often be combined on one order. Check the conditions on each voucher.
Shopee Live and videos
Sellers run live streams (Shopee Live) and post short videos with special vouchers or prices available only while you watch. They can be good value, but it's easy to buy on impulse. Check the price the same way as any other deal.
Tips for sale days
- Add items to your cart in advance. When the sale starts, you just check out instead of searching while stock runs out.
- Note the price a few days earlier. Take a screenshot or keep the item in your cart and compare. That's how you spot fake discounts.
- Check the price per unit. Bigger packs or "combo" deals are not always cheaper per piece, kilo or litre.
- Be ready at midnight. Big sales and many vouchers start at 0:00 Vietnam time.
- Expect slower delivery. After big sales couriers are busy, so add a few days.
