Your address in Vietnamese
A wrong or vague address is the number one reason expats' parcels get delayed or returned. Vietnamese addresses go from small to big: house, alley, street, ward, city. Write it the Vietnamese way and the courier will find you.
Changed in 2025. Since 1 July 2025 Vietnam no longer uses districts (quận / huyện), and many provinces and wards were merged. A modern address is just: house → street → ward → province/city. Your ward name may have changed too, so check it with your landlord or building reception. Couriers still understand old addresses, but Shopee's address form uses the new units.

Reading alley numbers
123/45 Đường Ví Dụ means house 45 in the alley that starts at number 123 on that street. 123/45/6 is a smaller alley inside that alley. In Hanoi you'll see the same idea written as Số 6, Ngách 45, Ngõ 123.

Filling it in on Shopee
- Open Me → My addresses → Add new address.
- Enter your name and Vietnamese phone number. The courier will call this number.
- Choose your province/city and then your ward from the list.
- In Street name, building, house no. write everything smaller than the ward: apartment, floor, building, house number, alley, street.
- Drop the pin on the map exactly on your building. Couriers use it a lot.
